Eastern Amberwing Dragonfly - Photo by Meredith Eastwood

An Amazing Catch with My Camera

Yesterday as I was walking through the river sanctuary, feeling the bites of smaller insects, I glanced at the wildflower near my feet and saw this lovely dragonfly. It is an Eastern Amberwing. They are found near major sources of water and often are mistaken for wasps. The field was filled with a wide variety of dragonflies and damselflies.

Title of this walking dream: “Return of the Dragonfly….and she brought friends.”
